I know this is a joke, but as soon as I saw:
I backed away very quickly. I assume actual Windows uses the locale, so my eyeballs wouldn't be assaulted with this abomination. For Linux/Mac users who are happy to stick with ls, but want a slash-formatted date, you can get something that is sane for you (whether or not it is sane for the rest of us) by running:
Where -D specifies a custom date format and %x means 'the date in your locale'.This comes in a great timing to pair with the recent release of a modernized "edit" tool from the ms-dos days. You can now download edit for mac, linux and windows and enjoy the simple and nostalgic editor's remake. Personally I quite like it, the shortcuts are super easy. It's a bit barebones but it is so easy and accessible that it might replace nano for me in certain use cases.

Good luck. Some Apple fans say that making Mac OS more like Windows is bad. But there is also Powershell for Mac OS: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/scripting/insta...
Homebrew: your barrel hasn't fermented your cork, so your hops won't barley your lager. Firkin try again.
