Huge for aiding search and rescue. There was also some talk about low-res GPS using starlinks, wonder if they could do something similar even without dedicated receivers, like cell providers can do (via trilateration).

    Only a smartphone would have this capability so presumably they also have onboard gps. It would be trivial to make something that automatically sends the GPS coords via text. This should be a built-in function for phones.
